New CDN PoPs in Stockholm & Paris, and AS209403
To start with, our 22nd point of presence went live on New Year's eve in Paris, which we tweeted about here. The PoP has been enabled for all customers since. France has been a key location that was missing from our European network and was on the list of planned PoPs for a few months.
Same goes for Stockholm, our 23rd PoP, which has been planned since the start of Q4 2018. It has gone live today and is already bringing VOD and live broadcasts to Scandinavia in HD and Full HD.
Our network now spans across 23 locations and these new additions come with enough capacity to meet the growing demand for distribution of high quality video content across web-enabled devices. Bundled with PUSHR's custom OTT and Live Streaming CDN platform and Video on Demand services, we are proud to deliver one of the most advanced plug-n-play solutions on the market.
We are also thrilled to announce that Net Stack Ltd, the legal entity behind all services offered by PUSHR CDN, has become a RIPE NCC member and is now operating autonomous system (AS)209403. This move has been an anticipated step towards providing a higher quality service to our customers. Leveraging public and private peering agreements with various internet service providers (ISPs) and working directly with Tier 1 IP transit providers will allow us to increase the reliability and throughput of our network while maintaining our competitive pricing edge. The development of our autonomous system is set to start in Q2 2019.
